About the Program

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology major in Food Preparation Services Management is designed to prepare graduates to responsible positions in design, development, research, applications, and operation in the fields of Basic Cooking, Food Shop Operation, Baking, Quantity Cookery, Experimental Cookery, Foreign Dishes, Food Preservation Process. The curriculum is built around a strong basic core of mathematics, physics and other allied sciences.

 

This is followed by a one-year On-the-Job training program in a capstone design of the course. Laboratory facilities are available in the Food Technology Shop allowing for basic as well as more advanced laboratory instruction in Different Cooking Techniques.

  1. To provide a vital foundation for the graduates development into quality industrial technologists involved with values and moral qualities as well as essential skills, knowledge and desirable work ethics.
  2. To produce graduates who are experts in the application of technology particularly in response to the needs in the industries and the community both local and international.
  3. To prepare them to become professional in their field of specialization with skills that can make them productive and self-reliant entrepreneurs.
  4. To instill in the graduates a concern for innovation through research and personal upliftment in response to advances in technology.
